About Katharine
- Crafter. Sewist, knitter, crocheter, cross stitcher, DIYer, repairer, fabric collector.
- Hiker. Whether this is a short walk in the evening or a multi-day trek I will come back with a blister, a few too many photos and a smile.
- Aspiring gardener. I love being out in the garden, mud on my hands (and all over my clothes). Both learning about basic garden design and growing my own fruit and veg. Last year I made 3 kilograms of raspberry jam from my own berries.
- Yoga/Pilates learner. I started virtual pilates during the pandemic and now rarely a week goes by when I haven’t taken a class. I find it is great for counteracting the sedentary desk life, but also for calming my mind – bringing clarity.
- Bell ringer. Originally learning as a child, I’ve recently gone back and am enjoying the slow but steady process. I have relearnt basic bell handling and am now progressing into simple change methods.
